We believe everyone's thoughts and opinions are important in the kingdom of God even when they do not reflect our own. "Enjoying the Presence of God" by: Jan Johnson
Review by: Jennifer Williams, Ohio
Enjoying the Presence of God is a refreshingly simple approach to worshipping the Lord and having constant intimate conversations with Him. Explaining examples of practices and giving many thought provoking ideas it challenges you to not overlook the simple things. Your daily life is filled with opportunities to communicate and walk closely with God. This book simply points some of them out and gives you additional ideas to try.
"Hebrew Gospel of Matthew" by: George Howard
review by: Steve, Ohio
this book written by George Howard is a real translation of the book of Matthew from the hidden and protected jewish scrolls to eliminate errors and answer questions that arise from teachers and ministers thoughout the ages. it is taken from the original texts and is not adulterated with traditional church translations. learning very many new things and reading it brings to life many unanswered questions I have had over the years. this book requires some open minded thinking to accect that everything I've been taught for decades was wrong. Scripture states that nothing is hidden that will not be brought to light.
“ CHRISTIANITY” by: Frank Viola
Review by: Ruby, Ohio
This book takes you on an eye-opening journey through the history of our modern church practices, because “without understanding the mistakes of the past, we are doomed to a flawed future.” It is fully footnoted and documented. You find in reading this book that much of our church practices and traditions really have their roots in ism, not in the New Testament. You may be one of those who have seen that the way we go about “church” today does not line up Scripturally. This book takes it a step farther and shows historically how and when the church fell away from her New Testament roots and ended up in her present state. In reading this book we discover that we, as the church, have made the same mistake as the Pharisees and teacher of the law in that we have “let go of the commands of God and are holding on to the traditions of men.” It is a radical call to forsake the traditions of men that have been handed down to us from apostate church forefathers, and return once again to our New Covenant roots; to return once again to the foundation laid by our true spiritual forefathers. This book can be ordered at www.seedsowers.com
"God's Favorite House" by: Tommy Tenney
This book is recommended reading materail. It is one of a few books that have a strong influence on the operations of this Ministry. It can be purchased at "The Bridge" Bible book store in Van Wert, Ohio. "The Bridge" is aware of our recommended reading list and will have these books available for you. It can also be purchased on the web at Christian Book Distributor
review by: Jennifer, Ohio
"God's Favorite House concerns the tabernacle of David and uses it loosely as a model. Tenney also points out scriptures relating to God's favor of this "house" and how it relates to us. He compares services that we enjoy against those God enjoys, pointing out obvious differences between them. "God's Favorite House" will help people to notice the differences between routine worship and desire, spiritual intimacy and pornography, and stopping short or "going the distance" for the Lord. It helps you to "Get Real" with God instead of settling for "half-time" entertainment.
"Revolution in the Church" by: Michael L. Brown
Review by: Peggy, Ohio
This book deals with the traditions of men. It causes us to question
why
we do things in the church today that really hold no biblical backing.
It is very challenging because it questions what we have always
believed
to be truth. It also adresses what a true disciple really is and taking
Christ at his word. It definately takes us back to God's ways and
strips

The Five Love Languages
By Gary Chapman / Moody Publishers
We all know that the greatest commandment is to love. However, relatively few of us know how to express our love in the heart language of our family and friends. Fortunately, in The Five Love Languages Gary Chapman identifies the five primary love languages and teaches us how to use these languages to express our love. Although this edition of The Five Love Languages was written specifically for couples, the basic principles Chapman explores will apply to all relationships.
